In alliance with government agencies, IMIA’s full-time Safety Director works in accordance with local, state, federal, Coast Guard, EPA and OSHA officials to ensure our compliance with current safety and environmental regulations. On the job, we can provide shipyards and fleet owners with safety manuals that ensure regulatory requirements are met, and offer viable, sensitive solutions to pollution prevention and health impacts.

Designed specifically for the coatings industry, our cutting-edge equipment and machinery is operated and maintained by our own certified technicians. Our OSHA-approved suspended staging was designed to facilitate airflow and to minimize contact points on the steel structure, eliminating coating damage caused by conventional pole staging. As a result of our focus on ensuring a safe workplace for our people, we continue to be one of the safest companies in the industry.

It is the goal of IMIA to strive for and maintain the safest work environment possible for our employees and our customers. Safety means prevention and requires planning and training. Prevention of an accident, near miss, or injury is at the core of IMIA's Safety and Health Program. Training is the way to prevention, establishing and maintaining a safe work environment, which must be accomplished by all IMIA's staff and employees. Employees at all levels shall work diligently to execute this Safety and Health Program and reaffirm their commitment to safety each and every day at home as well as at work.

The IMIA Safety and Health Program have been developed to address compliance with the Federal, State, and Local governmental safety and environmental regulations. It is the obligation of our Supervisors to be knowledgeable of these standards established by the OSHA regulations and to implement these rules and regulations. The rules established by OSHA are considered to be the bare minimum to follow. The IMIA Safety and Health Program exceed those rules and will be followed by all employees.

Regards for the safety of our customers, employees, and the general public is the goal at all levels of our organization. We are committed to preventing any human suffering, damage to property, or harm to the environment. A safe operation is organized, clean, and efficient.

It is the utmost importance that all aspects of our Safety and Health Program are strictly adhered to and that at the core of this program is to prevent unsafe conditions or acts, and maintain the highest level of training required to meet these goals.
