IMIA Awarded IDIQ Contract for U.S. Navy Submarines

Spanish Fort, Alabama - International Marine and Industrial Applicators (IMIA) has been selected as one of three contractors awarded to provide preservation and maintenance of Navy submarines. The current value of the potential award is $41,745,389 for the base one-year ordering period.  The contract has four additional optional one-year ordering periods which, if exercised, would bring the cumulative value of the entire contract vehicle to $248,692,224 over a five-year period. Work will be performed at Norfolk Naval Shipyard (NNSY), Portsmouth, Virginia (80%); and other locations under the cognizance of NNSY (80%), as well as at Portsmouth Naval Shipyard (PNSY), Kittery, Maine, and other locations under the cognizance of PNSY (20%). If all options are exercised, work will continue through June 2026.

IMIA, as a Multi-Disciplined Marine Contractor, is well prepared for the typical work under the scope of this award contract which includes but is not limited to:  hull, tank, and void preservation; lead ballast removal and installation; sound dampening tile repair and replace; and special hull treatment removal, preparation, preservation, and installation.

This award demonstrates the Navy’s continued confidence in IMIA’s ability to execute these most technically challenging work scopes.  IMIA is proud to support the Navy in maintaining these critical national security platforms.

BAE Ship Systems Recognizes IMIA as Subcontractor of the Year.

 

Norfolk, March 16, 2022, International Marine and Industrial Applicators (IMIA), a Multi-Disciplined Marine Subcontractor, announced today that its Preservation and Structural Marine Services groups received 5 awards from BAE Ship Repair including the overall Subcontractor of the Year at BAE Systems’ annual Supplier Symposium and Award Banquet as part of BAE’s Partner 2 Win subcontractor alliance. This award recognizes the best-in-class performance amongst BAE’s suppliers for achieving on-time delivery and quality standards supporting customer needs. These awards signify the outstanding partnership between IMIA and BAE Systems and singles out IMIA as an industry leader in subcontracted ship repair services. American Scaffolding (AMSCAF) and YYK, as partner companies of IMIA under Armada Parent, Inc. were also Gold and Silver awardees for their subcontracted scaffolding and preservation services as well.
