Structural Repair

The IMIA Structural Division consists of Welders, Shipfitters, Helper/Firewatches, Foremen, Superintendents and NDT personnel capable of working in any of IMIA’s Regions. The structural division’s capability includes large complex projects including but not limited to: structural and pipe welding, structural repairs, shipalts, inspections and engineering services.

The Structural Division Capabilities include:

  • Steel Fabrication & Installation

  • Numerous MARMC approved weld procedures for various base materials (HY-80, CRES, aluminum, pipe welding, etc.)

  • NDT inspectors are certified in accordance with NAVSEA technical publication T9074-AS-GIB-010/27, revision I and are capable of performing VT, MT, PT, and UT inspections

  • Level-ll NDT inspectors, Level-Ill NDT inspectors 

With its locations nationwide, IMIA has the seasoned deckplate supervision and mechanics, quality and safety programs, and financial strength to support all government and commercial shipyards with both new construction and maintenance of their fleets.
